Choldriths

Spider-linked humanoid communities organized underground around silk, lineage debt, and sacred law.

Silk judges read treaties from woven patterns. While they have both commercial and religious ties to the drow cities, Chholdrith communities do not boil down to a single Silk Throne identity.

Canonical record

The Chholdrith are the most visible of the spider-bound humanoid peoples of the Throne of Silk. Although they have established religious and property institutions in common with the Drow priestesses, they have their own lineage communities.

Silk production is not only a craft, but also a method of recording kinship and debt. The knots in a Chholdrith weaving can carry family, contract, and criminal history.
