yuan-ti

Dispersed heirs of the ancient serpent civilization; Communities that read and process body, lineage and sacred transformation like writing.

Ruin guardians and city-dwelling lineages do not share the same politics. A Yuan-ti's bodily markings do not determine his citizenship or morality; This legacy is often the object of fear and curiosity of external powers.

Canonical record

Yuan-ti communities carry the body transformation legacy of the Ancient Serpent Civilization of Odraka. They do not all belong to one secret empire or the same religion.

Some Yuan-ti families around Dönkapı live as archivists and physicians; Other communities advocate purification and caste order. Claims of common origin with lizardfolk are politically controversial.
