Dragons
Ancient great beings that connect with natural processes such as volcanoes, rivers, glaciers, storms, crystals and fire.
Dragonborn states interpret their dragon heritage differently; But dragons' relationship with them is read through treaty, fear, protection and political symbol rather than family tree.
Canonical record
Today's dragons do not share a single culture or common political will. Some are regional entities bound by natural processes, some are dynastic rulers, some are just large and intelligent creatures.
Their direct relationship to the First Dragons is unclear. Dragonborn states use this uncertainty for legitimacy. A dragon's morality is not determined by its color or element.
